I prioritize creating an inclusive, supportive environment for all individuals at Omnipotent Therapy and Healing. My therapeutic approach is informed by my commitment to understanding and addressing the diverse experiences of my clients. Below, you’ll find information about the specific focus areas of my practice.
Kimberlé Crenshaw
I recognize the unique challenges faced by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities. My approach to therapy is rooted in cultural sensitivity and awareness, providing a safe space for clients to explore their identities, experiences, and the societal pressures they may encounter. I aim to empower BIPOC clients through affirmation, understanding, and tailored support.
I believe that spirituality can play a significant role in healing and personal growth. My therapy incorporates spiritual exploration and integration, recognizing that each person's spiritual journey is unique. Whether you seek to deepen your spiritual practice or find healing through your beliefs, I provide support that respects and honors your individual path.
I am committed to providing trauma-informed care that recognizes the impact of trauma on individuals’ lives. I am trained to understand the complexities of trauma and its effects on mental health. I prioritize safety, trustworthiness, and empowerment in our therapeutic relationships, ensuring that clients feel supported as they navigate their healing processes.
I’m currently training to become a certified sex therapist and approach this work through a liberation-based, sex-positive lens. I believe sexuality, pleasure, and intimacy are fundamental parts of wellness—especially for those whose bodies and desires have been historically marginalized. I support individuals and partners in exploring identity, navigating challenges, and reclaiming connection and pleasure without shame. My practice centers Black, queer, and nontraditional communities while welcoming all who seek healing through curiosity, agency, and embodied truth.
While I am not formally certified in somatic therapy, I integrate a body-centered, somatic-informed approach into my work. I emphasize the deep connection between the mind and body, using gentle, embodied techniques to support clients in processing trauma, stress, and emotional pain. This holistic approach invites clients to reconnect with their bodies, cultivate awareness of physical sensations, and deepen their healing from the inside out.
At Omnipotent Therapy and Healing, I am dedicated to supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. I understand the complexities of navigating identity, relationships, and societal expectations. My therapy is inclusive and affirming, addressing issues such as coming out, relationship dynamics, and discrimination. I strive to create a safe and validating space where clients can explore their identities and experiences.
